Dada Sahib is a 2000 Malayalam film cowritten and directed by Vinayan and starring Mammootty in the dual title roles. He played the roles of Dada Sahib, an old freedom fighter and Abubacker, an army man and patriot.Dada Sahib became a super hit after Narasimham Thenkasippattanam . Mammootty got critical acclaim for the Performance of Dada Sahib.

But finally he finds himself being arrested on charges of espionage, treason and terrorist activity and the court too gives its final verdictthe death sentence. The President too rejects his plea and finally the sentence is carried out.It is after this that the story takes a new turn Abubacker escapes from death and a battle ensues between good and the evil forces. ........
